In-person behaviour assessment
Face-to-face behaviour assessment at The Keighley Canine Collective
Service Description
This is the same behaviour consultation as the virtual option, focused on understanding your dog’s behaviour in detail. In person, your dog will need to be able to settle in a new environment while we focus fully on your concerns, your goals, and the emotions and motivations behind their behaviour. You’re also welcome to attend without your dog if you feel they may find a new environment overwhelming while we focus on discussing their behaviour. This allows us to identify key management strategies you can begin using straight away, and assess whether further veterinary support or investigations may be needed before moving forward. Your follow-up session will then focus on creating a personalised training plan specific to your dog and your goals. Dogs often cope well in follow-up sessions, as the focus shifts from history-taking and understanding the behaviour to active, practical training and implementation. For this reason, I recommend most clients begin with a virtual assessment before choosing an in-person follow-up in Keighley. To make the most of this session, it is important that your dog is able to settle independently or with the support of chews or enrichment items during the consultation. This includes 2 weeks of WhatsApp/ Email support. These sessions take place on Sundays at The Keighley Canine Collective. Unit 2, Worth Enterprise Park Valley Rd, Thwaites, Keighley, BD21 4LN Please note that the training venue is located upstairs and is therefore not suitable for dogs with mobility issues due to the stairs involved (unless your dog is small enough to be carried and doesn't mind being picked up!).
